Sara is a published poet who loves sharing poetry with others.  Sara’s two collections of poetry are available below.
Sara's work has been published in a variety of journals; in addition, five collections of her poetry have been published by Reading2Connect, books specifically designed for memory-challenged adults to read independently and in facilitated book discussion groups.

Sara’s poems bring her lived experiences to us courageously, as a gift.

In the 72 poems contained in this collection, Sara deBeer explores a wide variety of topics, from her visit with her husband to an exhibit of Matisse's paintings to the existential meaning of a hammer; from the music of footsteps on different floor surfaces to the voices of various characters in different folk and fairy tales. Sara employs a variety of poetic forms: most are written in free verse but the collection also contains sonnets, pantoums, and villanelles.
